London After Midnight is one of the most sought after films in all of cinema. This silent horror film was thought long lost and has been only seen through photos taken on set accompanied by a score. But this long lost holy grail to horror fans and fans of cinema may have been found.
Apparently the film has been mis-labeled The Hypnotist and is deep within the vaults at Time Warner/Universal. A fellow named Sid Terror claims to have found the long lost film and has chronicled his discovery here. Now if it was just this post alone I would have to believe he is just looking for a headline.
But Harry Knowles of AICN has it on good authority that the man speaks the truth. I'm still a little weary as the film has been lost for ages. But if this is true consider this a cry to Universal to restore the print and get this thing into theaters! I can guarantee that fans of all ages would show up to theaters to see this long lost film. Follow that up with a jam packed DVD and I can promise you will make a mint on your investment. Please restore this gem!
