Evo još par novih slika i nekoliko komentara od ljudi koji su već imali prilike pogledati filma na Cannesu...

KOMENTARI

The folks who organize Frightfest also got a chance to take in Outlander during it's Cannes market screenings, and the film left a very favorable impression on them! Rumor has it that they're looking at playing the film at their festival which this year runs from the 21st to the 25th of August in the UK. Tickets for the festival go on sale at the end of June. Here's what they had to say about the movie:

"...an absolute joy to watch is Howard McCain's epic science fiction adventure fantasy OUTLANDER. Jim Caviezel is the astronaut crashing his spaceship in 700 AD Norway and unleashing a giant alien creature on the local Viking tribes. Big, glossy, and acted with conviction by John Hurt, Ron Perlman and Sophia Myles, there's gore aplenty, the thrills are many and the CGI monster is pretty good too."

Unashamedly crowd-pleasing is Howard McCain's epic science-fiction/fantasy OUTLANDER, the final film seen in Cannes. Jim Caviezel is an intergalactic astronaut who crashes his spaceship in 700 A.D. Norway and unleashes a giant alien creature on the local Viking population. Big, glossy and hugely enjoyable, it commingles fun adventure cliches with wildly unhistoric abandon, all acted with solid conviction by Caviezel, John Hurt, Perlman and Sophia Myles. There's gore aplenty, the thrills are nonstop and the neon-etched CGI monster is pretty damn good too.

A space ship from a far away world falls into a cold lake in northern Europe. We're in the midst of the Viking era under the wise leadership of King Halga.

A man from space arrives in a place both [primitive?] and devastated by small wars but he has brought with him more than just technology and wisdom. With The astronaut also comes an alien creature, that feeds itself on human beings and that is terrifying and very destructive, but she is not a creature of evil but is the last survivor of an alien race entirely destroyed by the race of men who came from space and colonized it's planet of origin. The beast - a victim of colonization - in her last desperate attempt to live, kills and destroys the unsuspecting Vikings, trying in turn to colonize the earth.

It is a film about war and the struggle for existence that does not deprive the viewer of rich special effects, is sexy and has spectacular action. It is a good movie born of the clever mix of fantasy and science fiction cinema. It's nothing too new really, but as a package, the end result it is certainly high quality for an unconcerned, undemanding evening. Every now and then we want this too.

Hell Yeahh...ovo bi moglo biti dobro...vikinzi i alieni/čudovišta...čini se cool. A koliko sam čitao, i prve kritike su bile i više nego korektne...

Predator u vrijeme Vikinga!!

na slici ili dvije prije..ove gore slike nisam do danas ni vidio...i kaj ima veze da gledam sliku vec godinama...sad sam komentirao i tocka..jebate kako naporan mozes bit sa nekim nevaznim glupostima koje neces shvatit, ali neda mi se natezat oko gluposti..idem u kino na Wanted ili Hancock...

A ko je naporan Bog te...slike zbilja stoje tu evo...od 6 lipnja kada sam i posao (očito nisi otvarao topic pa nisi ni vidio)...hoću samo čuti tvoje mišljenje oko trailera...Bože moj šta si i ti postao osjetljiv

A jebote ovo se gleda sigurno.

Čini mi se kao mix:
- Predatora (ekipa protiv vanzemaljca)
- Pathfindera (vikinzi)
- 13th Warrior - (vikinzi i mitologija)
- The Relic (1997) - (ogromni monster)

Vikinzi vs. Vanzemaljac ovdje a tek akda krenu Cowboys and Aliens (2010) u jebooote.... Imat će se šta gledat (stvarno se vidi da se ložim na ovakve filmove a

p. s. - što se tiče producenata, ponekad oni čine glavnu ulogu u filmu pa recimo kad meni stave ime producenta npr. Samuela Z. Arkoffa, Rogera Cormana ili Stevena Spilberga točno znaš što ćeš očekivati (isti slučaj sa Brianom Yuznom, Moustaphom Akkadom, Robert Zemeckis, Seanom S. Cunninghamom, Samom Spiegelom, Melom Brooksom, Wse Craven, Jerryem Bruckheimerom i drugi), jer oni davaju lovu.
Istina je da će Ameri otići više u kinu jer se spominje LotR nego ime producenta, ali u ovom slučaju jebe mi se za ove producente (nisu me se baš dojmili).
Evo ja ne znam tko je redatelj niti jedne epizode CSI, ali znam da kao producent serije stoji Jerry Bruckheimer...
A da ne govorimo o slučaju Poltergeista što je značio jedan producent filma samome filmu...

zanimljive su mi slike, mada mi je caviezel jos uvijek trn u oku...
