While there, we got to talking with one crew member who revealed the threequel will open and close with Selene (as played by Kate Beckinsale). When asked if it was new footage, we were told it was a scene from Len Wiseman's 2003 Underworld that will be used to bookend the film. So this next installment will not be Beckinsale-less after all. Stay tuned for more on our visit to Luma in the coming days!

ja ga jedva cekam zbog njene garderobice i korzetica i koznjaka dugih i onih uskih hlaca
bas me zanima sto ce ovog puta imati na sebi
jest da se je vjerojatno sve biti bum bam i tako to, predvidljivo, lame i hollywoodski spektakularno ali who cares, trebam ideje za garderobicu

Taking over the directorial reins from Len Wiseman, who remains onboard as a producer, first-time helmer Patrick Tatopoulos (who designed creatures for all three pics) offers a satisfyingly exciting monster rally that often plays like a period swashbuckler. Notably less frenetic (and appreciably more coherent) than its predecessors, new entry should scare up OK returns during its theatrical run before making a killing on homevid.

While the movie isn’t the worst thing in the world, it’s just as forgettable, if not more than, the first two UNDERWORLD films. There’s absolutely nothing original or interesting that happens within the 92 minutes; it’s probably best to save your money and go see Sheen in FROST/NIXON instead.

Some fun facts:

- Listen for the Wilhelm Scream as the Lycans breach the wall during their attack on Helms Deep...I mean the castle.

- Apparently escaping from a castle of vampires is not unlike Mario trying to escape the wrath of Donkey Kong. You'll see what I mean.

- Me thinks director Len Wiseman may be a fan of Alien...again with the seeing what I mean.

- Bill Nighy enjoys making alarming faces...okay this isn't as much a fact as an observation but I needed one more.

So to summarize, if you enjoy the series and the story you should get a kick out of this period battle as it gives us a long glance into the history behind the feud. If you don't like the others this one ain't gonna change your mind. It is action packed, adventurous and enjoyable in my opinion.
