Serija The Strain pred kakavih deset sati je imala svoju premijeru na američkom kanalu FX. Evo prvi komentari kritičara. Što misle gledatelji pogledajte ovdje.
LA Times: “The Strain” is not so much frightening as it is startling at times, in a manner that can only be described as pretty gross.
Wall Street Journal: The pilot episode offers a promising, if somewhat shaky, start to what will hopefully turn out to be gripping horror saga.
EW: This is cult-classic, midnight-movie horror, designed in meticulous, mythology-respecting detail for comic-book readers and fangirls and -boys.
The Guardian: The pilot is dark in the best way and stays tense and interesting for the full episode, even as we go about the boring business of exposition and meeting all the characters.
Bloody Disgusting: There are genuine moments of pure terror in this pilot, coupled with strong central performances, Ramin Djawadi’s unnerving score, and some fantastic bits of dialogue that make for a great introduction to this world.
Time: The Strain does not have much subtlety, taste, or high-art credentials. It just has a sword-cane, and it knows how to use it.
The Verge: The Strain is not narratively innovative, but with any luck it’s a stepping stone; perhaps the next generation of vampire movies won’t hop on the Twilight train so quickly. At any rate, the scenes devoid of dialogue are absolutely fantastic, especially if you like exploding brains.
Washington Post: The better parts of “The Strain” will unsettle viewers with this new species of monster, a threat that spreads in a novel way that isn’t easily explained. That’s also part of the show’s initial stumble — in establishing characters caught up in a contagion crisis, the creators and writers are also apparently still trying to figure out how a TV series works in 42-minute increments. The first couple of episodes seem as if they’ve been assembled from a kit that’s missing a few nuts and bolts; by the third and fourth episodes, however, a viewer gets a much better sense of “The Strain’s” style and bite.
