But, you know, I knew something must be rotten in Denmark. There was no way you could like me that much. Man, I can't tell you how relieved I was when you took off your dress, you... you didn't have a dick.

+ 1. Šteta jedino što Robert ne režira. Obožavam Roberta Rodrigueza. Osim megagluposti The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, on uvijek iza sebe ima odlične filmove, a ne mogu dočekati Machete.

Predatora 2HorrorHR wrote:ja sam optimističan, jebo mater ako planet put predatora i kick ass b-style jebači nemogu pružati 90 minuta zabave, gdje taj svijet ide

A šta je loše u novom i drugačijem dizajnuEat Your Brains wrote:Ne mora bit nuzno ko prije,al cini se opasno da idu kvantitetom umjesto kvalitetom sredit stvari. Sad nije dovoljan predator, sad nam treba super-predator! A taj ima jos duze nozeve, jos vece topove! Ergo, jos bolji film! To je originalno?

JUNGLE GRIM: Adrien Brody and Alice Braga in Predators
By Robbie Collin, 04/07/2010
STROPPY teenage vampires not grabbing you?
Take heart, brother. Cos next week sees the release of a movie that's so far from Twilight, it might as well be 90 minutes of a machine gun-toting alien punching R-Patz in the face.
Predators. It's not a 'reboot', or a 'reimagining', of the 1980s, Arnie-starring, cult classic, man-versus-monster pic.
It's more like the ultimate work of fan-fiction.
But masterminded by Robert Rodriguez...who's produced something that holds up not only as fan-service, but as a worthy sequel in its own right.
Along with director Nimrod Antal, RobRod has resurrected a 20-year-old creature feature (unless you count the Alien Vs Predator films...which I don't) and made it shine again in all its dreadlocked, mandible-thrashing glory.
Adrien Brody - yeah, the same guy who won an Oscar for The Pianist - is BRILLIANT playing against type as a musclebound merc who wakes up strapped to a parachute, hurtling towards a jungle.
On the ground, he meets a rag-tag bunch of bad guys - including a sniper (Alice Braga), a serial killer (Walton Goggins), a drug gang heavy (Danny Trejo) and a Yakuza assassin (Louis Ozawa Changchien) - but none of whom know why they've been put there.
Although after a few nasty close encounters, they quickly work it out. As the Earth's foremost predators, they've been chosen to be hunted. By the biggest predator there is. A predator called...a Predator.
Thankfully, the film resists the urge to get the Predators on-screen quickly - and spends a decent amount of time introducing the various scumbags who are about to be killed for your amusement.
And when they DO arrive, Rodriguez has opted for old-fashioned rubber body suits and creature effects where possible. (CGI's used sparingly, and only where needed.)
With Predators, Rodriguez and Antal have made something old-fashioned, in the best possible way. They just GET what made the original such a hoot - and by and large, have reproduced the same thrills here.SpoilerShowThe pacing's ace, too. There's a late introduction of a new human that keeps things spicy (long-term survivor Laurence Fishburne - judging by that spare tyre, the foraging's pretty good in this jungle), a beautifully-staged samurai sword battle in a field of long grass, and a majestic ending, where Brody goes 'a bit Apocalypse Now'.
This movie sets action film-making back two decades. And hooray for that.
OUT FRIDAY 9 JULY
Jedan dio sam stavio u spoiler jer po meni malo previše otkriva, lol.

Delivering on its promise, Predators is a moody, unrelenting and attention-grabbing sci-fi thriller, filled with action, splendid visual effects and packed with undulating tension. True to its 80s film origins, and using its broad concept as a springboard, the ante of the premise of an invisibly cloaked extra terrestrial warrior is raised and a twist added. The dense jungle may be like the Amazon, but the location is planets away, and the writers that producer Robert Rodriguez has commissioned, have cleverly made the problem of relocating its human characters one of the intriguing plot points. Beyond its spectacular effects and mega-budget, it's good old fashioned entertainment of the B-movie kind, with a strong premise, nicely drawn characters and ace performances from a team of actors spearheaded by Adrien Brody, that make us give more than a damn.
The visuals are stunning, as are the awesome, terrifying predators, which become more formidable as we climb the pecking order. It's a race against time, a battle of wits as Royce and gang keep one step ahead of the brutal force and formidable destruction of their adversaries. It's edge of the seat stuff with John Debney's pounding music score enhancing the massive stunts, superb cinematography, lighting and strong production elements. Fantasy sci-fi action in impressive form.

With impressive visuals and riveting thrills, the latest addition to the franchise is likely to engage both old fans and new audiences.
There is a whole fan culture around the predators, with everything from the alien species' culture and biology emerging in computer games, comics and novels. While Predators doesn't get bogged down in this, there are occasional nods to a wider universe that the alien hunters inhabit. Fans of the genre can enjoy this; knowing the franchise is in good hands, while casual viewers out for science fiction and horror action will find enough thrills here for satisfying viewing.

For the most part Predators is B-grade fun in the best possible way. Producer Robert Rodriguez had originally begun developing this film as far back as the early 1990s after the success of El Mariachi but Hungarian filmmaker Nimród Antal (Vacancy, Armoured) has ended up directing. Antal’s Hollywood films are yet to fully live up to the promise he displayed in his début film Kontroll but with Predators he nevertheless does an excellent job filming the various action scenes. Predators is well paced with a good build up and the right degree of character development you need to care about the fate of the human characters. There are also a few genuine surprises and twists.
