Australska viskobudžetna akcijska ratna drama u maniri filma "Red Dawn" nastala prema prvom od ukupno sedam romana cijenjeg Australskog autora Johna Marsdena. Ukoliko ovaj film bude uspiješan, navjerojatnije će se pristupiti i ekranizaciji ostalih knjiga.
Režiju i scenarij potpisuje Stuart Beattie, inače scenarist filmova kao što su "30 Days of Night", "Australia", "Collateral", "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra", te mnogih drugih naslova. Ovo mu je inače redateljski debi. Budžet filma navodno iznosi svega 20 mil.$, iako sudeći po traileru, čini se da je uloženo i malo više.
