Pulp Fiction (1994.)

Post by remike2 » 16 Jun 2010, 17:38

O filmu:
Pulp Fiction (1994.) is an American crime film directed by Quentin Tarantino, who cowrote its screenplay with Roger Avary. The film is known for its rich, eclectic dialogue, ironic mix of humor and violence, nonlinear storyline, and host of cinematic allusions and pop culture references. The film was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture; Tarantino and Avary won for Best Original Screenplay. It was also awarded the Palme d'Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. A major critical and commercial success, it revitalized the career of its leading man, John Travolta, who received an Academy Award nomination, as did costars Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman. Directed in a highly stylized manner, Pulp Fiction joins the intersecting storylines of Los Angeles mobsters, fringe players, small-time criminals, and a mysterious briefcase. Considerable screen time is devoted to conversations and monologues that reveal the characters' senses of humor and perspectives on life. The film's title refers to the pulp magazines and hardboiled crime novels popular during the mid-20th century, known for their graphic violence and punchy dialogue. Pulp Fiction is self-referential from its opening moments, beginning with a title card that gives two dictionary definitions of "pulp". The plot, in keeping with most of Tarantino's other works, is presented out of chronological sequence. The picture's self-reflexivity, unconventional structure, and extensive use of homage and pastiche have led critics to describe it as a prime example of postmodern film. Pulp Fiction is viewed as the inspiration for many later movies that adopted various elements of its style. The nature of its development, marketing, and distribution and its consequent profitability had a sweeping effect on the field of independent cinema (although it is not an independent film itself). A cultural watershed, Pulp Fiction's influence has been felt in several other media.

Kultni film iz 90-tih, remek djelo, najbolji film Tarantina u kojem sve ide po špagi, savršenstvo!

Film koji je savršen u svakom svojem aspektu. Moj najdraži.

Silver-tight like spider legs
I never wanted it to ever spoil,
But flies will lay their eggs...

ne znam otkud da počnem hvaliti ovu filmčinu...skopirat ću svoju recenziju iz ranih dana na imdbu :D

Did anyone ever made a perfect movie? Probably not. But who did get closest to that? I think Quentin Tarantino. This movie is easily getting in my top 5 best movies ever made. It has everything. Great dialogs (monologues, hehe bible quote), very charismatic characters, interesting story, great soundtrack and it's full of anthology scenes. In fact, I think every scene can be taken as one of the best in film history. This is definitely Tarantino's top film he made. The acting crew is also perfect. Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta had roles of their life here. There's no way you won't like them and you just gotta listen to their dialogs. They are just so damn cool. And I have to add... This movie has one of the best opening scenes. Restaurant robbery and misirlou music, oh boy... After watching this movie I was very impressed. Actually I can't find words to describe it. Till this day I don't know how many times I watched it and I'm sure I will watch it again and again and again and... Well, you got the point! haha... Maybe the best words to describe Pulp Fiction are... Quote: "If I get chance to choose the last movie I will see in my life that would be PF"... Need to say anything else?

broj jedan i meni osobno najdraži film uopče. genijalni dijalozi i situacije, fantastično pogođeni glumci za svaki lik(meni najbolji Keitel u ulozo mr Wolfa) i izvrsatn soundtrack.

I think human consciousness, is a tragic misstep in evolution. We became too self-aware, nature created an aspect of nature separate from itself, we are creatures that should not exist by natural law.
