SLIKEKen Yao, a calm and thoughtful guy, is a fund manager with an exemplary track record, an impressive salary and a knack of being at the right place at the right time. His hobby is practical shooting and is a keen competitor of the IPSC (International Practical Shooting Championship). He is the winner of many championships and awards.
During a shooting competition, Ken comes up against a new comer, police officer Jerry Chang, and beats him by a margin to take the championship. The two enthusiasts become acquainted.
Ken leaves the competition in his car, and on his way he comes across the robbery of an armoured van. In order to save a policeman who is about to be shot by the robbers, Ken decides to step in and help. Employing his perfect shooting skills, he manages to kill four of the robbers, but one of them manages to escape.
Ken, slightly injured, is taken back to the police station for questioning . The police officer in charge of the case happens to be Jerry Chang.
When the media get hold of the news, headlines such as ‘Shooting champ kills robbers to save cop’, catapults Jerry into a hero of the people and a media darling.
The police, on the other hand, are split in their opinion of this case. Some feel that Ken’s actions were justified and he has not broken the law whilst others feel that a murder is a murder whatever the reason. Jerry, although realizing that Ken had saved the life of an officer with his actions, nevertheless maintains that opening fire in a public place is breaking the law. Ken is taken into custody...
