While doing a series of reports on alternative energy sources, an opportunistic reporter Kimberly Wells witnesses an accident at a nuclear power plant. Wells is determined to publicise the incident but soon finds herself entangled in a sinister conspiracy to keep the full impact of the incident a secret.

The China Syndrome (1979) - jako dobra triler drama sa prekrasnom Jane Fondom i izvrsnim Jack Lemmonom. Još glumi Michael Douglas koji je i producent filma. Radi se o jednoj nesreći u nuklearnoj elektrani i kada jedan glavni radnik tamo odluči progovoriti o tome sa novinarima, bude ušutkan tako da mu se zaprijeti, a novinari ko novinari traže sve dublje priču. Odlično odglumljen, ali tih zadnjih 15-ak minuta mi je malo sve to pokvarilo, ali dalje jako dobro.
