Ako vas je ikada zanimalo od kuda potiječe Djed Mraz i da li zaista postoji, ovaj film će vam dati odgovre na ta pitanja hehe. "Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale" je akcijska fantasy komedija u Finsko/Norveškoj/Francusko/Švedskoj koprodukciji redatelja i scenarista Jalmaria Helandera. Film je inače zasnovan na kratkometražnim filmovima Rare Exports Inc. iz 2003. i The Official Rare Exports Inc. Safety Instructions iz 2005. godine. Oba filma je inače režirao i napisao također Jalmari Helander. Ako je suditi po trailerim, film djeluje poput nekog napetog i zastrašujućeg horrora. Budžet filma iznosi skoro 2 mil€, a Finska premijera će se održati 3. prosinca 2010.

“Rare Exports” really is one of the very few films to attain this kind of near perfect balance, being hilarious, thrilling, frightening and awe-inspiring all in the same breath. Sadly, the only thing standing in the way of its yuletide world box office domination may be the fact that it is subtitled – though such is its quality and the sheer amount of crazed, exuberant fun that the talented Jalmari Helander delivers, that it may well be able to overcome even this notoriously difficult hurdle to deserved mass consumption and adoration.
