THE REVIEW:
When teenage girls between the ages of 15 and 17 begin to die all over the world, they become resurrected as zombies. This is happening all over the world with families that have daughters in this stage forced to deal with this problem by cutting up the zombies into pieces, which are nicknamed "Stacy", left in a garbage bag, and picked up at a certain time like the trash.
This is a good film, but could have been better. The best part for me was that the far east finally have made a movie that makes fun of American pop culture. The squad that kills the "Stacies" is called "The Romero Repeat Kill Troops", who will also come to your residence if you find you cannot kill your own "Stacy". The television is filled with a commercial with a Japanese woman in a bunny suit pitching the latest in zombie killing hardware; "The Bruce Campbell's Right Hand 2" (which by the way is spelled incorrectly on the unit), and a group of teenage girls, who have yet to begin to change, intercept the government's calls to kill the zombies. They dedicate their club to Drew Barrymore because "she's cool".
Before a girl changes into a zombie, she experiences what scientists call NDH (Near Death Happiness), an annoying period when the girl will giggle excessively. This part of the film is focused on a bit too much. There are several more subplots in the mix also, which is the bad part; too many subplots to keep track of in such a short movie.
Gore fans will not be disappointed. There is blood and body parts flying everywhere in graphic detail, both very realistic and a bit exaggerated. Then there's the film's climax when the Army battle a hoard of released zombies, released by a depressed soldier, which leads to a battle royal of flying limbs, torso's and numerous other body parts.
If you like your gore served in both liquid and solid form, than you'll love Stacy.
