Nightmare (also known as Nightmares in a Damaged Brain, Blood Splash, and Schizo) is a 1981 psychological horror/mystery/slasher/exploitation film. The film is known for having been branded a video nasty. The version that can be purchased in the UK, USA or Canada is edited, featuring alterations in death scenes involving a stabbing, a throat slashing and the closeup shot of a bloody head wound.

Plot:
A mental-patient, who is troubled with horrible nightmares, has escaped from his hospital. Now on the streets he can't help killing innocent people. But there is one family he is more than interested in and when he tries to kill them, he finds that it's not that easy.
