The Ward (2010.)

Nakon 9 godina veliki John Carpenter se vraća na scenu sa svojim najnovijim filmom The Ward koji bi trebao izaći 24.9. ove godine u SAD-u. Prema prvim informacijama nažalost John Carpenter neće raditi glazbu za film, nego će to učiniti Mark Kilian za kojeg je sam Carpenter rekao da je iznimno talentiran.

O filmu:
THE WARD is an intense psychological thriller set in a mental institution where a young woman, Kristen is haunted by a mysterious and deadly ghost. As danger creeps closer, she comes to realize that this ghost might be darker than she could have imagined. Kristen, early 20's wakes to find herself bruised, cut, drugged and held against her will in a remote ward of Chamberlain Psychiatric Hospital. She is completely disorientated, with no idea why she was brought this place and no memory of her life. The other patients in the ward, four equally troubled girls, offer no answers and Kristen quickly realises things are not as they seem. The air is heavy with secrets and at night, when the hospital is dark and foreboding, she hears strange and disturbing sounds. It appears they are not alone. One by one the girls disappear and Kristen must find a way out of this hellish place before the ghost comes for her too. As she struggles to escape, she will uncover a truth far more dangerous and horrifying than anyone could have imagined.

Ovo je jedan od onih filmova ove godine koje jedva čekam da vidim i duboko se nadam da će biti bolji od zadnjeg njegovog filma Ghosts Of Mars. Sam Carpenter je rekao da nije u međuvremenu snimao filmove jer je Ghosts Of Mars podbacio dosta, nije više uživao u filmovima, a i imao je obiteljskih problema koje je trebalo riješiti. Nadam se da ovaj film neće podbaciti (zvuči super radnja), te da će s ovim filmom biti opet "back on the road" što se tiče horrora.

preskakao sam sva čitanja o ovome kad sam vidio da je u nekoj ludnici radnja, već mi pomalo to dosadilo. a od JC dali što previše očekujem? pa neznam, ne baš... al nemože pasti niže od romera :rolleyes:

John Carpenter se jednostavno nema što više dokazivati, on je jedan od najvećih i to je sve jasno, stvar je jedino u tome dal on može još uvijek taj svoj šarm i čari pokazati u filmu, od filma ne očekujem savršenstvo, al barem nešto od tog njegovog šarma, čari, talenta bi volio vidjeti, nadam se da će me film zadovoljiti. Radnja malo neobična i nešto malo drugačije za Carpentera. Nadam se da će sve ispasti super! 8)

Ovo što je radio za Masters of Horror je bilo odlično.
U globalu pozitivac, makar je u zadnje vrijeme niš ne radio osim puđio travu i prodavao prava na rimejkanje svojih filmova :wink:

nadam se da se neću razočarati s ovim filmom. Uvijek je imao odlične ideje, inovaciju pa to i ovdje očekujem

neodoljivo me podsjećaju na Silent Hill i peticu Hellraisera :lol:

I ja bih volio taj 80s štih, uh što bi to bilo sjajno, iako ne znam dal će film biti takav i dal je Carpenter još uvijek sposoban za takve visine kakve je radio u 70-tima i 80-tima, al bi zasigurno volio tako nešto!
