Vjerujem da svi znamo za roman "Pride and Prejudice" Jane Austen, također vjerujem da svi znamo i za mnogoborjne filmove i serije natsale prema tom djelu, ali isto tako vjerujem da su rijetki čuli za roman Setha Grahamea-Smitha - "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", kao i za prequel tog romana - "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls", kojeg je pak napisao Steve Hockensmith.
S obzirom da je ovaj prvi roman bio nekoliko tjedana na trečem mjestu New York Times best seller liste, ekranizacija tog romana od staren mašinerije zvane Hollywood je bio logičan slijed. I to ne bilo kakve ekranizacije, već visokobudžetne, sa zvijezdama iz i ispred kamere. Tako će se režije prihvatiti David O. Russell, najpozatiji po filmovima kao što su hvaljeni "Three Kings" i "I Love Huckabees", a u jednoj od glavnih uloga će se pojaviti slatka Natalie Portman. Premjera filma je predviđena tek za 2011. godinu, ali ekipa predvođena filmašem Charlesom Haineom je već snimila promo trailer za preguel, "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls", kako bi publici dali do znanja, kako bi film od prilike mogao izgledati.
Dakle, visokobudžetnu verziju ćemo se još načekati, ali ipak, svi oni koji bi htjeli vidjeti kako bi izgledalo kad bih krhke i zaljublejne engleskinje krenule tamaniti zombije, doći će kad tad na svoje...do tadam, uživajte u promo traileru.
