Clive Barker's "Books of Blood"

British horror master Clive Barker is taking his tales of terror to the big screen again.

Matador Pictures and Barker's Midnight Picture Show shingle are teaming to adapt what is planned to be the first in a series of films based on the horror author/filmmaker's fiction collection "Books of Blood."

John Harrison ("Tales From the Darkside: The Movie") will direct from a script written by Harrison and Darin Silverman. Sophie Ward ("Young Sherlock Holmes") and Jonas Armstrong (the U.K.'s TV series "Robin Hood") are set to star.

The "Blood" series consisted of six collections of horror stories published from 1984-85. The books made Barker an overnight literary sensation.

"Blood" will adapt the first story from Book 1, which centers on a paranormal expert who, while investigating a gruesome slaying, finds a house that is at the intersection of "highways" transporting the souls in the afterlife.

Barker, whose written works have inspired such film franchises as "Hellraiser" and "Candyman," will produce with Midnight Picture Show's Jorge Saralegui and Joe Daley. Matador Pictures' Nigel Thomas and Lauri Apelian and Micky Macpherson of Edinburgh-based Plum Films also are producing.

Čitam sažetke na wikipediji.
Ima boljih priča od ove, ali mislim da će i ovo biti dobro.

dobar je barker, ona undying igra mu je prejebena, valjda će i ovaj film bit jeziv!

ima tamo dosta dobrih priča, ali ima i par s*anja. valjda će iz dobrih izvući nešto

u jednoj book of blood knjizi je priča midnight meat train ako se ne varam.. bilo ih je u algoritmu prije par godina..
inače, zna netko kada bi mogao doć taj film?

Iz koje perspektive misliš? Ako misliš na filmove rađene prema njegovim djelima (što nema veze sa njim ofkors direktno, ali eto ako si to referencirao) - si gledao http://www.horrorhr.com/saint-sinner-2002/ ? :twisted:

Clive Barker je imao samo tri fenomenalna filma prema svojim knjigama ili scenariju :

Hellraiser (1987), Nightbreed (1990) i Candyman (1992).

dok jedan prilično dobro napravljen - Lord of Illusions (1995)

a spletom okolnosti - Rawhead Rex (1986) je trebao ispasti mnogo bolje, ali se barem jednom da pogledati (kao i recimo Quicksilver Highway (1997) gdje je jedna njegova priča i koja je očigledna krađa "Evil Dead 2" evil hand)...

jep. mislim na filmove po njegovim djelima koje sam pogledao do sada, a to su ova prva tri koje je dr_gonzo naveo i još bih dodao hellraiser 2 i 4, moh epizodu haeckel´s tale (neznam kakve veze točno ima s tim, mislim da je scenarij napisao..) kao meni dosta dobra ostvarenja + dvije jebene horror pc igre (vjerujem da te to ne zanima ali čisto da potkrijepim ovo obrazloženje :). ) knjige još nisam pročitao nažalost, budem jednog dana kada stignu u algoritam.. inače, nisam gledao saint sinner, a ovako na prvi pogled mi djeluje kao nešto što ću zaobići.. :lol: dakle, nisam još našao zamjerku u meni poznatim barkerovim radovima. :wink:
