Newly launched Sony label Stage 6 Films has signed on to distribute the Butcher Brothers' reimagination of the 1986 horror classic "April Fool's Day," currently filming in North Carolina, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film is the latest addition to the new banner, which operates under the umbrella of Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group.

The new "April Fool's" revolves around a party given by two uber rich siblings, played by Taylor Cole and Josh Henderson (Desperate Housewives), for their friend. Tragedy strikes when a friend falls over a balcony and dies. One by one, each partygoer is found dead.

Frank Mancuso Jr. and Tara Craig are producing. The Butcher Brothers team of Mitch Altieri and Phil Flores are directing. The duo, whose credits include last year's "The Hamiltons," also wrote the screenplay with Mikey Wigart.

Mogli bi počet radit i remakeove ovih novih remakeova, samo im to još fali.

gledao original kao klinac (znam da sam već dosasan s tim, ali onda sam pogledao valjda najviše horrora :lol: ) i film mi je bio glup do kosti..

Amazon has set up pre-orders for the Butcher Bros.' April Fool's Day remake, which they report will arive at retailers on DVD March 25.

mislim da će 2008. biti godina remakeova kao i prošla

Ne volin ovakve podjele na "iskusnije" i "novopečene" horror, ma uopće film fanove. Eto, pogleda san dosta starijih slashera, ka i original i meni je film i dalje zabavan, kraj je skroz zanimljiv i drugačiji nego u originalu. I sad bi tribalo značit da će ovaj film bit ok samo mladim neznalicama, a stari horror veterani su too cool for school za njega?

Jedan veliki broj ljudi koji su počeli gledati horrore u post scream ili čak kasnijim periodima iz moje perspektive imaju totalno drugačije gledište na horrore. Vidim to po komentarima i po HorrorHR.com, gdje ima dosta mlađih ljudi, koji za neke filmove imaju potpuno oprečna stajališta nego drugi...

A ta "podjela" da bi nekima film mogao biti i zabavan je zapravo veliki kompliment za film, razmišljao sam dali da napišem to ili da stojim iza toga da je film u globalu totalno govno ;) Znam da svatko ima svoje mišljenje, a to je moje...

Vjerujem da se ovo iz konteksta krivo protumacilo. Ali cinjenica da te podjele ima (iako to ne bi trebalo biti nikakav minus). Evo ni ja ne govorim da sve znam, ali mogu reci da imam zavidno znanje o filmskoj industriji (ne samo o hororoima nego o svim zanrovima...ukljucujuci animirane i pornice)...ali to ne znaci da sam sveznajuci covac.

Nadam se da se i ovo nece krvio shvatiti. :?
