Pop Wrap is adding fuel to the fire. They caught up to David Arquette, who announced yesterday that he's officially in the sequel with Courteney Cox, for an explanation as to why the actor and his wife decided to reprise their roles as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers.

"I love the Scream franchise; I'm just honestly excited to be making another one," Arquette tells Pop Watch. "I figured it would be a blast to bring these characters back to life and see how they've grown since Scream 3. Working with Wes has been amazing and Kevin is an incredible artist. My wife and I really wanted to do this."

Asked if the fourth outing could signal the demise of Riley, the actor says, "I guess Kevin [Williamson] could kill us off, the ball is in his court."

The interview revealed that the first draft of Scream 4 is almost finished, and that Williamson is only contracted to write parts 4 and 5, so no plans for a 6th film yet. When asked if Wes Craven is going to direct he replied, “Oh, Wes is going to do it.”

Williamson also confirmed that Scream 4 will not be in 3D and talked a little bit about his plans for the return of Ghostface.

“What I have always liked about this movie versus the other horror films is that I feel like there are characters. In other horror movies, you remember Michael Meyers and you remember Jason. In our film, I think you remember Sydney Prescott because Sydney Prescott’s the victim and she has lasted for all three of these movies. The fun of the film is that it’s Sydney Prescott. That’s the difference and you care about her. I want to write a story where you actually care about our characters and it’s a plot that you watch them walk through. It’s not all about the next kill. It’s not all about slice and dice. I was watching ‘Saw VI’ on pay per view the other night and I was like, ‘This is really just going from one kill to the next, to the next.’ It’s fun, but I want to tell a story.”

Ja jedva čekam
Slasher nastavci inače završe jako dobro...not ali me zanima, draga mi trilogija, makar su 2 i 3 očajni, ali je jedinica toliko napravila za horror žanr (uz revival slashera yeah ) da dopušta bar 4-5 loša nastavka
