Believers (2007)

Iz naftalina se izvlače Blair Witch redatelji i eto nakon što je jedan odradio "Aletered", u igru upada i drugi sa horrorčićem o nekom sjebanom kultu Believers (2007). Inače ovaj (daniel myrick) je radio kao producent na ovom novo labelu od Warner Brossa Raw Feed ili kako se već zove, koji stoje iza relativno solidnog (do kraja) Rest Stop i dosadnoh (po drugima, nemam volje pogledati) Sublime. Pogledah trailer i nisma baš previše impresioniran...

Paramedics David and Vic answer an emergency call to find a young girl and her dead mother at a gas station in the outlands. No sooner do they break out the paddles than a truckload of whacko cultists arrive and force everyone back to their secret compound at gunpoint. This is the kind of place that would give Jim Jones nightmares: Strange symbols and numbers adorn the walls, speakers crank out unnatural speech, and experiments are conducted behind closed doors. Under the leadership of “The Teacher” the sect operates under metaphysical babble and mathematical formulas that they claim are the key to their rebirth on the eve of the worlds destruction.

evo i ja pogledala. ne čini mi se nešto novo ni baš posebno, nije me baš zaintrigiralo, ali budem svejedno čim prije pogledala

nope, al eto dobro si me sjetio na Sheenov film, zaboravih na to

Vidim da je i ovaj Believers (tema posta ne sheenov) iz Raw Feed linije, a kritike su za sada prilično dobre:

Raw Feed's best movie to date - even if it's technically
not a horror movie. It's a terrifying view into the
minds of very disturbed people - or extremely clever
people. And believe me, you will be a believer after
watching this movie.

Even with its flaws, Believers is an unsettling little head-trip and proof positive that horror can still exist above the lowest common denominator.
